Research Fellowships Program of the National Gallery of Canada 2010/2011

The Research Fellowships Program of the National Gallery of Canada encourages and supports advanced research. The fellowships emphasize the use and investigation of the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, including those of the Library and Archives.  The National Gallery of Canada is a member institution of the Association of Research Institutes in Art History (ARIAH).

The following fellowships are supported at the National Gallery of Canada:

Canadian Art
Offered for 2010-2011 academic year.
Canadian art, from all periods.
 
Indigenous Art
New: offered for 2010-2011 academic year.
The art of the Aboriginal Peoples of Canada, and recent and contemporary art by indigenous peoples around the globe.

History of Photography
Offered for 2010-2011 academic year.
History of photography, from all periods.

Adjudication will take place in May 2010. Notification of applicants will take place in June 2010. A press release announcing the names of the fellowship recipients and their research proposals will follow.
