Arts and Humanities Research Council Awards, University of Bristol

The Graduate School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Bristol has five AHRC awards for October 2011 entry available for students taking Masters programmes in the following subject areas:

Masters (Research Preparation)

Masters (Professional Preparation)

The Research Preparation Masters scheme supports students undertaking Masters courses that focus on advanced study and research training explicitly intended to provide a foundation for further research at doctoral level.

The Professional Preparation Masters scheme supports students undertaking a Postgraduate Diploma or Master's course that focuses on developing high level skills and competencies for professional practice.

These awards enable students to undertake and complete a Masters degree. Full and partial awards are available. A full award covers fees and an annual, tax free stipend. A partial award covers fees only.  If you are a part time student, support is pro rata. The scope of the awards available for 2011/12 will be subject to final confirmation from the AHRC.

To see if you would be eligible for a full or partial award, please see the AHRC's student eligibility criteria. Students requiring a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK are not eligible.

Successful applicants are likely to hold a first class honours undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent).
